2022 Virginia HOSA State Leadership Conference
The 42nd Virginia HOSA State Leadership Conference will be held IN-PERSON on March 11th-13th, 2022 at the Doubletree by Hilton, 50 Kingsmill Road, Williamsburg. We are excited to be back and hope this will be the best conference yet!
Reservations for the hotel are not open yet (December), so please do not call the hotel until you have been notified by Virginia HOSA. It is extremely important not to overbook this year as many schools are requiring 2 students to a room instead of the usual 4. Please check with your local school division for their policy.
Group Room Rates-
$118.00 plus 12% state and local tax plus an additional $2.00 per night occupancy charge.
The hotel does require a guaranteed room reservation which can be done with a one-night pre-payment or a credit card guarantee. If you are paying with a check, it should be received by the hotel at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival.
To make reservations, please refer to the memo that was sent to advisors.
No overflow hotels will be added until the conference hotel has reached capacity. If overflow hotels are required, Virginia HOSA will provide a shuttle service to and from the conference center if an overflow hotel is required.
The registration fee is $130.00 per person for the three-day conference. The three-day conference registration includes students, advisors, guests, chaperones, bus drivers, and anyone else attending the conference. All individuals attending the conference are classified as delegates. Registration fees will include all conference materials, Saturday breakfast, Saturday lunch, Sunday breakfast, as well as entertainment and awards. There will be no Saturday evening banquet offered this year.
There will also be a commuter option available this year only for those school divisions who are not allowing overnight field trips. School field trip policy should be followed by your local school division. All students must have an advisor on site at SLC at all times.
Commuter Registration Options (the commuter option is not required to pay the $130 fee mentioned above.) The fees are as follows:
You must register as a secondary delegate (which is going to show the $130 fee) if a student wants to compete. Email Jane Best and let her know which students will be commuting and I will adjust your invoice. I apologize for the inconvenience but there is no way to fix that in the conference management system.
Friday, March 11th, 2022- $50.00
Saturday, March 12th, 2022- $70.00 (includes breakfast and lunch). If you choose not to eat the meals provided, the price remains the same.
Friday and Saturday, March 11th-12th, 2022- $115.00
All delegates who are registered as commuters can participate in all of the conference activities including opening session, workshops, vendors, leadership activities, fun night and awards session on Sunday but cannot stay overnight in the hotel. Any delegates who are found to reserve a room and not be a full registered delegate will result in being disqualified from competitions. All commuters must have an advisor present at all times or will be disqualified from competitive events.
You must register as a commuter on the HOSA conference management system at the time of registration.
